Anyway, walking through the streets of chinatown with my family, i did not fail to capture some photos throughout my journey, especially some on the well debated and criticised CNY decorations and lightings. Yup, i've witnessed these decorations for myself and i can really conclude that they are...well...unique, to put it in a better way, but more often than not, weird. Haha.

They sorta erect a stage in the middle of the road for some countdown thingy i guess. Behind the stage is the famous bridge.
Further down the road is this weird looking artifical tree that looks like a rotten withered tree stump decorated with disgusting ribbons. Seems more like the living tree monsters in fairy tales to me rather than a festive tree. Haha.
Heard that the deco committe spent 1.8million on the whole decoration. So much money on this weirdo tree that is fake somemore...pple nowadays do hav "great" taste .

This is the street along the chinatown market that is closed for renovation. If i am not wrong, its smith street. Yah, we hav lanterns zig-zagging across the roads. Simple isnt it.

Walking along the old shop houses one can see these lanterns on sales hung high up there. Thankgoodness they r hung in bundles if not one may mistake the shop as erm-herm...haha. But then on the other hand, these lanterns seems to be leftovers from mid autumn festival or something...doesnt seems cny-ish to me.
More decorative stuffs on sales.
This is south bridge road. The well debated ugly deco where firstly we hav brothel laundrys pink in colour hung out to dry. Then they take them down after much protest and put up some bak kua look-alike thingy up there. Haiz... pple run out of creativity sia.
And back to the small streets. This is sago street i believe if i am not wrong. Yup...more lanterns...

Look, they even sell flowers here. Chrysenthimum (paiseh, my spelling sala). By the way i hate chrysenthimum...i dunno why.
I happened to walk past this antique shop where this signboard caught my attention. It says "remove sale"...can anyone spot the english error in it?
More lanterns... this photo seems very dark coz i went chinatown in the afternoon and my cam is heading west when i snap this foto. As the sunlight is coming in my direction from the west, the effect of the foto will b very dark. Yes...some camera tips taught to me in sec sch.
More lanterns...more pple...

After like walking for an hour or 2, i bid farewell to chinatown...going home le. haha. This foto is taken in my father's car as he is turning into Upp cross street from new bridge road so that he can enter CTE n stuff....yah. Haha.
With all these fotos, hope u guys out there reading my blog will experience some cny mood...and finally, wishing all of you...
